About Our Quality
Our fresh coffee and espresso beverages are made with quality beans from the local Stumptown Roastery, where unique varietals of fair & direct trade coffee are roasted by hand in small batches. As a sustainable independent business, Stumptown is dedicated to creating lasting relationships with coffee producers and supporting farms that are committed to the well being of their workers. They have received numerous awards, including Roaster of the Year 2006.
For sandwiches and toast, we carry selections of Dave's Killer Bread, including a variety of vegan loaves. With fresh and hearty bread, our sandwiches are practically gourmet! Freshly-baked loaves are also available for sale at the café.
We use the highest quality dairy products from Sunshine Dairy Foods, a company that only does business with local family farms who choose not to inject their cows with hormones like rBST. Sunshine's focus on sustainability is evident even in their packaging: paperboard cartons and opaque white plastic jugs prevent oxidation, vitamin loss, and flavor degradation. The result is great-tasting, healthy milk (regular or soy) for your coffee, and fantastic cheese & cage-free eggs for café cuisine.
